How it happened

A man wearing glasses, a beige cap, black gloves, and a tan apron is smiling at the camera while working in a kitchen. He is stirring or mixing a large container of dough on a stainless steel counter. The kitchen has various utensils, bottles, and containers around.

We never planned on making a pizza boat, or even selling pizza! Clare and I just realized we were working to live, instead of living the life we actually wanted.

Things started to shift when we sold our house and moved onto Lucy, a 70-foot narrowboat, in January 2024. Around that time, we spotted a cute little boat for sale and started dreaming about it, but left it as just that—dreams.

Then, while we were taking a break from work, that same boat popped up for sale again. What are the chances? We're not superstitious, but we couldn't pass it up!

Do(ugh)ing it

Both of us are vegan and gluten free so we felt it was super important to make food that we could eat, without consequence AND without paying more for the priviledge.

Very early on we discovered our gluten free dough recipe and set about perfecting it - we’d still like it to puff more but we don’t want to add all sorts to the really simple dough.
